Originally from the USA, Robin taught English for four years in Mexico City after obtaining her TEFL certificate in 2008. She received her MA in Applied Linguistics from Georgia State University where she taught in the Intensive English Program and Office of International Initiatives. Robin was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach English to Roma and Gypsy students in southern Hungary for 2 years where she also worked with the American Corner and EducationUSA facilitating workshops, TOEFL courses and conversation clubs. With 10 years of experience teaching English, she is passionate about empowering minority students through education, access to academic resources, and building inclusive educational environments. She is currently in Hyderabad, India at Maulana Azad National Urdu University where she works with disadvantaged Muslim minority university students to develop their English skills.
