DOROTTYA GÉCZY
Educational and Research Coordinator
My name is Dorottya Géczy, I am a sociologist and a PhD student in social psychology.
My main research interests include prejudice, identity, minority psychology, and intersectionality. In my academic work, I focus on examining social inequalities and the experiences of marginalized groups through a critical and sensitive perspective.
I am the editor and a co-author of Roma LGBTQ+ Studies, the first Hungarian-language volume published by the Diverse Youth Network on this topic. Within the organization, I serve as the head of the research group, where my goal is to strengthen the connection between academic research and civil advocacy, ensuring that research outcomes have tangible social impact.
I believe it is essential that academic knowledge does not remain isolated, but actively contributes to human rights work and the empowerment of communities.
